'Christmas is not the same without a real Christmas tree!'

But there are certain things that must be remembered when trying to prolong the life of your fresh tree.

1.) Keep your tree outside in a bucket of water, until you are ready to put it up.

2.) Trim 1/2 an inch off the stem of the tree before placing into your stand if the tree is not being put up straight away.

3.) If possible avoid placing your tree near a radiator or near a fire. (the cooler the better)

4.) Place your tree in a water holding stand, which will enable it to absorb water.

5.) Check and top up water regularly.
